Nicolas Hayek turned around the fortunes of Swiss watch manufacturing with the idea that they could compete with Japanese digital watches produced by the likes of Casio by reinventing the watch, or the Swatch as his company became to be known, as a fashion accessory. In later years, through an initial tie up with Volkswagen, the Hayek inspired Smart car, is produced within the Mercedes-Benz Group. WeLoveAnyCar.com has 15 Smart car reviews and their average rating is 4.41. The Smart car received an award for the most economical car in the National Car Awards voted for by WeLoveAnyCar.com car reviewers.
In a considered review of his Smart, one owner on the WeLoveAnyCar.com car review site said, “At first you forgive the 'lag' in the take up from the auto gearbox when pulling away but gradually it becomes more and more annoying and less and less easy to live with, especially when negotiating roundabouts or slowing and then pulling away at a junction. It was the main reason I sold the car. If driven enthusiastically ( but not over the top ) the car returned only 50 m.p.g. - so no better than your average diesel car. Short wheelbase means that the ride is inevitably somewhat 'choppy'. Good points are reliability & fun with open top driving and features like heated seats, electric mirrors & aircon included ! Driving position also excellent with comfortable seats and plenty of space for someone over 6' !” Some of the car reviewers on the site simply say, “This car with no clutch is a dream to drive. Just flick the stick left to right for manual or auto - Simples! It is a real head turner.” Choosing a car is not just about the reliability, economy etc. – it is the ‘fit’ with you as a motorist.

WeLoveAnycar.com Car Reviews are made by motorists who still own or sold their cars recently. Second reviews are made by drivers who also own or owned the same model and have ‘agreed’ or ‘disagreed’ with the first review. This means a review which receives a number of ‘agree’ vote carries more weight with the opposite being true where a review attracts a number of ‘disagrees’.
Just over 60% of all reviews are made by existing owners and the remainder are made by people who have sold their cars in the last 12 months. We do this to ensure that the user of the site gets a balanced view which may differ once someone has sold a car.
Only owners of cars can make a review or a second review of their car by invitation from us – the review database cannot be updated any other way. This means that WeLoveAnyCar.com car reviews are more accurate, more dependable, more balanced, are not open to manipulation and can be used by prospective buyers to gather more reliable information.
If you object to a review’s content for any reason please report it to us and we will consider deleting it. The reviews are the views of the owners of the cars and not of our Company and are for your information only. The review comments themselves are the copyright of the reviewer who has given our Company worldwide rights to their exclusive use. Please refer to our terms and conditions and privacy pages for more information.
The 137,031 reviews and all the second reviews are made by people who have driven their car for some time. Many have added their own comments which you can view by searching on the make and model. The above lists take all the reviews made by drivers of a particular manufacturer within a particular category and then add them all up and find the average. For example, with 'Economy', there may be 14,632 reviewers of Fords who have each set the number of 'Stars' from 1 to 5: 1 Star being poor and 5 Stars being very good. We then find the average number of Stars and place Ford on the table. If another manufacturer has a lower average then they will be lower than Ford. Remember, the ratings are opinions of drivers. We recommend you search a particular make and model for more accurate views of drivers who have rated that model. The ratings we have on our database will differ from the WeLoveAnyCar.com Car Awards which are calculated at a point in time whilst the Car review database is dynamic and will change over time.
