General Franco realised the importance of Spanish based car production and his government nationalised the company which became SEAT (Sociedad Española de Automóviles de Turismo,). Franco bullied the car company into life and believed that every Spaniard should buy a SEAT. Although the company had several partnerships, first with Fiat, it has become a noted manufacturer and designer of good quality cars and its Volkswagen Audi ownership underpins the quality of today’s models. Seat has had some good reviews and it won a number of National Car Awards in the WeLoveAnyCar.com car reviews survey, 2013. One reviewer commented on his Seat Leon said, “I’ve owned many cars in the past but I will keep the Leon as long as I can. I’ve never had a car longer than a year till I purchased the Leon, it is miles better than the Lexus is220 I had before…. it handles & goes very well. I do 20-30,000 miles a year it’s only let me down once a sheered flywheel but I still drove to an Audi dealer who fixed it next day at a good price…. I recommend this car to anybody.”
