PERODUA MYVI HATCHBACK
I bought my Myvi new in 2010, when I first saw it I was amazed at how far the rear passenger doors opened, this is important because our passengers are in their mid eighties, next it was easy for my wife and I to get into and out of as we both have Mobility problems.
I have found the car 100% reliable, it has done nearly 40,000 miles and not missed a beat, alot of those miles done towing our 2 berth caravan which it does extremely well considering its a 1.3 engine, I have found it frugal considering I live in a cliff village, it returns 47 miles per gallon overall and around 41 towing the caravan.
I found the cornering a bit vague, fixed by fitting a strut to the top of the front suspension turrets. I also found when you open the front windows it had a lot of wind noise, fixed by fitting side window wind deflectors. Deflectors and tow bar from Sirion.
All in all the Myvi is a good reliable workhorse, its nippy, spacious, and cheap, would I buy another Myvi ? Yes, no hesitation. A good idea is to buy 2 extra wheels and have snow tyres fitted, I live in a cliff village and have not been stuck yet.
