Bought second hand, used mainly towing trailers and as scruffy weekend car. 28 mpg towing 32 mpg normal.
Had my espace for 5 years now, and apart from normal wear and tear she's been brilliant.
How can anyone say fuel economy is not good on this car. On a recent trip to London I got 67.3 mpg and am always 54 mpg+ when I drive it a bit harder.
Fantastic vehicle, would definitely purchase another Golf.

This car has never let me down, but it is getting old now, and replacement parts are very expensive. Probably won't keep it much longer.
The turbo is blowing out black smoke now but the car is over 10yr oldd

my first citroen car, covered over 140000 miles with only standard service intervals carried out.
fab little car to drive, however have had an intermittent electrical fault with the power steering that seems to be quite common.
Fuel consumption 27mpg motorway driving.
Rear wheel drive not stable on cornering or wet surfaces unless you use 4wd which uses more fuel.

Very underated car although fuel economy is not great. Would not sell if fuel economy was better.
Best car since Peugeot 205's I owned- a good motorway car and with all year tires good in snow.

I have never had any issues with my car but I spend a lot more than expected on fuel considering the engine size is 1.6.
Excellent car for driving in all weather conditions with 4wd and big fat tyres. Only 4seats though. Good lugging capacity with both rear seats folded down.

Fuel economy excellent, petrol DSG averages 48mpg. Build quality poor to average, well below that of my previous Skoda (2009 Superb)
The turbo Diesel engines deliver power and good fuel economy. Would not invest in a petrol model
